The S300-DIN-RDR2SA module provides interface control for access and security devices associated with up to two doors.
The S300-DIN-I8O4 module supports 8 inputs, 4 relay outputs,
and 4 open collector outputs. Both the RDR2S-A and I8O4 modules use standard RS-485 communications and can interface with the following controllers:
The RDR2S-A provides the ability to configure supervised 4-state inputs and unsupervised 2-state inputs. A total of 8 inputs can be configured as supervised 4-state inputs (normally open or normally closed) or 2-state inputs. Any points not used for the door can be configured as general purpose I/O points, possibly eliminating the need to purchase additional I/O modules for certain installations.
The RDR2S-A provides power for the card reader hardware. It does not provide power for door locking hardware.
Note: CK721-A versions earlier than 3.0, CK721 controllers, and CK720/705 controllers are not supported by P2000 Version 3.13 and later.
•12 to 24 VDC or 16 to 24 VAC power source options — offer a wide range of nominal voltages
•Support for RS-485 bus communications at 9600 or 19200 auto baud rate detection
•Multiple mounting options (flat surface, DIN rail, or Johnson Controls’ approved enclosure) — enable easy installation of modules
•Expandable modular design — allows RDR2S-A and I8O4 modules to be connected together using RS-485
•Two-door access control input/output interface
•Choice between legacy and physical address mode — allows the use of up to six legacy addresses, or, in physical address mode, allows the use of one physical address to control and monitor all reader terminals, input terminals, and output terminals
•Input/output (I/O) disassociation (RDR2S-A only) — allows the re-assignment of reader terminal input/output (I/O) points from reader-specific functions to general purpose I/O points
Note: Legacy address mode is not supported by P2000 Version 3.13 and later.
