Discreet, eye-level cameras for identification

AXIS P85 Network Camera Series offers eye-level, pinhole cameras installed in a pipe or height

strip housing for discreet, indoor video surveillance—ideal for retail, hotel and banking environ

ments. For placement near exits of buildings, AXIS P85 cameras are positioned to look straight

at a person’s face for more reliable identification even when the person is wearing a hood or

baseball cap.

AXIS P85 Series comprises AXIS P8514 and AXIS P8524 Network Cameras. AXIS P8514 comes in three, floor-to-ceiling pipe versions: black, chrome and white with a metric or imperial height indicator to enable eyewitnesses to gauge the height of a person.
The camera inside the pipe is placed at a height of 160 cm (5.2 ft) with a 57° horizontal field of view.

AXIS P8524 involves a rectangular form factor in black or silver with a height indicator in metric or imperial measurement. The sensor unit (lens and image sensor) is mounted at a height of 170 cm in the metric model and 5.5 ft in the imperial version. AXIS P8524 offers

a 57° horizontal field of view. The sensor unit is then connected via an 8-m (26-ft) cable to a main unit, which can be placed out of public view

AXIS P85 cameras are ideal for capturing subjects at close range. They support HDTV 720p and multiple streams in H.264 and Motion JPEG. AXIS P8524, additionally, enables local storage of recordings and connection to external devices.

AXIS P85 cameras allow for easy installation. The viewing direction is adjustable and they support Power over Ethernet.
